Hello, I’m the maker behind Backstitch Bobbin, a heartfelt venture inspired by personal loss and a lifelong love for textiles. After my dear dad passed away, I created my very first memory bear using his Christmas jumper and jeans as a gift for my mum. That first bear became more than just fabric it became a comforting connection and a lasting piece of his story.

I hold a degree in Surface Pattern and Textile Design, and I’ve always been drawn to the emotional depth found in fabric, its textures, its history, and the stories it holds. I specialise in creating handmade memory bears, cushions, and quilts from your loved ones’ clothing, each piece crafted with care to honour and preserve your memories.

As a mum of seven and a proud grandmother to seven, creating keepsakes has long been part of my life. I’ve sewn clothing and quilts for my grandchildren over the years, weaving love into every stitch. That same care and personal touch is at the heart of Backstitch Bobbin.

Whether it’s a bear made from a father’s shirt, a cushion stitched from a favourite jumper, or a quilt built from baby clothes, each item I make is a one-of-a-kind tribute. Inspired by nature, texture, and the beauty in everyday materials, I pour my passion into creating pieces that bring comfort, connection, and lasting meaning.
